Inspired by the ideas of my father, the Laboratoires des Herbes Sauvages opened in 1958 and were the first real European centre for the production and sale of beneficial herbs from controlled and organically-protected cultivation.
The characteristic of the centre’s products was that they were 100% natural: the herbs were tested to certify that their composition complied with the MRL or Maximum Residue Limit; that is, the maximum level of impurity permitted by law in plants for human consumption.
The creams, capsules and infusions produced in Fleurance were successfully exported all over the world thanks to an efficient organizational structure of sale via correspondence.
The particular characteristic of these products was that they could only be found in herbalist’s and specialist shops: this increased people’s confidence in the brand and its reliability. Furthermore, the packaging was not particularly luxurious; in fact, a simple style was adopted, essential for such an important, top-quality product.
In respect of nature, to optimize the properties of the plants, what to all intents and purposes are gelatine shells containing the dried powder of various herbs were used. This is how our gelules where created, a new element that came onto the market with great force, beating the competition.
